In 1987, Mike and Vicki Bump bought this establishment in hopes of bringing a quality family restaurant to the area. Mike was raised in Marshall with 13 siblings and Vicki had 11 siblings from Thief River Falls. Growing up with large families meant a lot of good old fashioned meals. This, paired with Mike's background in meat sales means you will find all of our food to be of the highest quality. After over 30 active years in the Glencoe community, Mike and Vicki moved to 'lake country' to relax and enjoy their kids and grandchildren.

On January 1, 2006, Mike and Vicki sold the establishment to long-time managers, Eileen Popelka and son-in-law, Mike McGuire. The commitment to offering home cooked food and excellent service continues under Eileen and Mike's ownership. We have the same great employees, many who have been with Bumps since the doors opened in 1987!
